Georgia Color celebrates the tradition of outdoor painting by pairing Georgia’s finest plein air painters with some of the most picturesque areas of the state. 2022 will mark the second Georgia Color partnership with Chateau Elan and the city of Braselton – just one hour north of Atlanta.
Georgia Color is a juried event exclusively for Georgia artists. All painting created throughout the event will be showcased and will be available for purchase in Braselton on Wednesday, October 19th at the 1904 in Braselton and at the Pavilion at Chateau Elan on Thursday. The Georgia Color Exhibition will include a library of paintings from each artist as well as all paintings created during the event.
Each artist will hold back one painting created during the two days of painting to enter for competition. Prizes will be presented Wednesday evening at the Awards and Collectors Celebration at Chateau Elan. Painting will be available online.
Spectators are invited to join in and be immersed within the creative process. See the scenes and how the artists interpret them. Smell the wet paint and get caught up in the joy of watching 100’s of masterpieces come to life before your eyes!
Immediately following, an open exhibition and judging will be held in Chateau Elan’s Winery Pavilion. Paintings created along with a pop-up gallery of paintings by 2022 Featured Artists will be available for purchase.
